It begins with a formative experience – a motorcycle accident involving the founders of our start-up in Brittany in 2016, which significantly changed the lives of Carola Petri, Günter Huhle and their two sons Viktor and Benedikt.

The experience of the rescue operation in August 2016 prompted the family to commit to improving emergency communication. Driven by the vision of helping people in critical situations more efficiently, they laid the foundations for EmergencyEye® in 2016 and focused the newly founded company Corevas GmbH & Co KG on the development of software. With tireless passion, after numerous brainstorming sessions, countless PostIts and a firm belief in the purpose of their mission, they formed a dedicated team and forged valuable partnerships with leading players from business, politics and science.

Just one year after the company was founded, we proudly presented the first EmergencyEye® prototype of an emergency call control center as a still small team. This technology makes it possible to establish an immediate live video connection in emergency situations, precisely localize the location and overcome language barriers via a chat with instant translation – exactly what would have helped the family in Brittany in 2016 during their own accident.

The response to EmergencyEye® has been overwhelming. The technology has received numerous national and international awards and has been supported by regional, national and international funding programs. These recognitions underline the innovative strength and social value of EmergencyEye®.
